The USA is still in the golden-age of Sonic clothing, mainly shirts. Watch for great new stock art (From Sega) to appear on these shirts. Top Heavy, with licensing from ShoPro seems to be producing less in 2011, but is still active. Both little and big sizes will likely continue. Little sizes are still ok to collect, even if you don't fit into them, because you can still fit the shirt into a frame if you like the design to make it like a poster. Primary stores here will be Sears and Kohls. However, it should be noted that Wal Mart, JC Penny, Hot Topic, and FYE are also getting into carrying Sonic shirts. This shirt uses the cool combination of Knuckles, Sonic and Shadow. It has all their new for 2011 stock art, and overlaps each character for a dynamic look. The background is a blue & red ring with stars. But look at the logo: it seems to be the classic style logo...which is unusual on a modern shirt. The "Sonic & Tails" tag company made this one too. However, these shirts never say the maker name in the back or the tag, they're always just copyrighted to Sega, and that's it. Do you know where this is sold? Write in for credit!

This is a rather unique looking tee. It has classic style 'laughin' Sonic' for the art (notice his lack of eyelids) which is not too frequently seen. Then the design is a rectangle with some blue rays & a scattering of rings. It says "Game Over" in the top corner, then spells out "Sonic" in Japanese vertically down the other side. This does use 'faux wear' or pre rubbing/scuffing of the design. This may be available in the Sonic Gear Clothing Store.

Isn't this a cute shirt, with fun double-meaning slogan. It has classic style Sonic & classic style redraw Tails in a ring. Is the shirt more pinkish or redish? It's sort of hard to tell. It says "Every Sonic Needs A Wingman", and then has the classic logo. It has a double meaning because a wingman can be a sidekick, or also an actual pilot...and Tails is both. Each of the 3 shirts in this area may be available in the Sonic Gear Clothing Store

This is called the "zoom zoom logo" shirt for some reason. It's pretty unique, with SA1 style line art Sonic, & various logos fading in through him & the background.

Does this shirt look familiar? It should, as it's a re-color of the yellow shirt that initially had this same design. With bright orange, blue & white busy stripes, this shirt certainly stands out.

This all black tee uses a part of a line from a movie (Likely: TopGun) as a sort of slogan. It says "Need for Speed" over a checkered flag style background. Classic running Sonic is laid over everything, with a small logo at the bottom. It's pretty standard looking, but ok if you don't already have several very similar shirts. Want it? You might remember this shirt in its long-sleeve form which appears on Winter Wear. This is the short sleeve little kids size of the same thing, with the funny, detailed "old west" look wanted poster. It uses Sonic X art of Shadow on a 'paper look' background. It says "Wanted Shadow The Hedgehog Wanted for Speeding & Causing Havoc Reward 10,000 Rings" The Sonic X logo is small and not invading, at the bottom. You can see the Sonic X tag in the back. Here's a fun shirt with Sonic, Tails & Knuckles. They're all in their newer 2011 poses, with corrisponding color background rings. The shirt is blue, with 'grunge look' checkering for the background. You can see the Sonic logo print-tag (not a cloth tag) in the top. This is available at Sears in fall 2011, for their usual price of about 8.00 in the boys/teens area. annoying...the design (foreward punch Sonic X) is made with many offset, off colored lines so that it appears out of focus to the viewer no matter what.

This is a little kids' only tee (...you can tell the one in this photo is pretty small) but where can you find it? This is a spring/summer 2012 find. It's all blue, with a blue & white 'screen tone dots' in a circle background for Sonic. It has modern Sonic, quite large so that he's cut off in the corner of the design. He's stepping & pointing, so it's one of the newer (after 2011) stock art pieces. The corner/big art is unusual, which helps the shirt look unique. This is the 'small sizes only' one. There's another that was released later that was larger/teens sizes, thought to be found at Boys section of WalMart

Here's a great shirt that'll fit anyone, because it's in mens' sizes! It has the newer 2011 jumping Sonic art, with a 'grunge' style blue checkered background. Top Heavy puts the new 2011 stock Sonic 'jumping kick' to use quite nicely on this brown tee. A silver/gray ring with red/black background is all that's needed to make him stand out.

The pose is really dynamic, & this is one of the first shirts to use it. Found at Sears boys/teens section in fall 2011.

This Tee is likely exclusive to Kohl's stores in the USA. It has A nice group of the cast on it, including Eggman, Knuckles, Shadow, Amy Tails Rouge Sonic & Cream. They're under a yellow ring or arch, & the modern logo sits at the bottom. However, look at the bad quality of the design! Is that more of the stupid "Fake Wear" or did this run of shirts just print particularly badly? Fake wear/faux crackle to the ink makes no

sense at all on a modern shirt like this. No one would want a rubbed design, so what's going on? Write in if you've seen a better version of this shirt at your Kohl's stores. Here's a cool tee for the 20th Anniversary celebration. It's a white tee, with a good portion of the Sonic cast on it. The 20th Anniversary logo appears in the top corner. On this shirt you can see, Eggman, Rouge, Shadow, Blaze Cream, Cheese, Knuckles, Tails, Amy & Sonic. But what's Sonic doing? He appears to be holding his shoe toe while balancing on his fingertips and 1 heel. It's sort of a strange pose for him. This is by TopHeavy, and is available at Sears boys/teens in late fall 2011. Note the paper Sears tag in the photo & the TH cloth tag. Should be about $8.99 or so. This is in the SonicGear collection.

This is likely an FYE store exclusive. This cardboard tile represents the design on a blue shirt they sell. They're displayed all hung together, over the tees, which are in cubbys below. This is another one with a lot of the cast on it, so you're likely to find your favorite character here. Interestingly, they use the all-Japanese title/logo (more commonly seen around Sonic X stuff) at the top. You can see Eggman, Espio, Rouge, Cream, Cheese, Blaze, Charmy, Vector, Tails, Knuckles, Amy & Sonic. It's a little crowded, but you can still get a pretty good look at all of the people. Here's a different approach to the 'retro' style! This aqua blue tee (color not used that often) uses a Sonic 1 Green Hill Zone background and then adds various re-draw classic poses for Sonic, Tails & Knuckles. They're out of proportion with the scenery (too large) and not particlarly convincingly interacting with it, but it does produce a fresh look. You can see the sunflowers, 'totem pole faces' floating shelves & some rings. The logo sits at the bottom in the checkered ground. This shirt is by TopHeavy (interesting to see they picked up classic too) and can be found at Sears in the boys/teens section for about 8.00 in winter season 2011-2012. This shirt is in the SonicGear collection.

This is what Awesome Looks Like Sonic Tee

A Sonic tee with an appropriate slogan! "This is What Awesome Looks Like" it says, with a picture of Sonic. The shirt is medium blue with a somewhat checkered background. It's listed as an actual 'mens item' so that means the sizes should be good for anyone. But, where can you find it? Write in if you know.

Here's a 1 color offering from Hot Topic, the "You're Too Slow" classic styled Sonic tee. With bright white ink & large crisp graphic, this one stands out. The words help add originality to the common classic stock art. This is in all adult sizes, and costs 20.50 in winter 2012. Can also be bought at HotTopic online. Discovered by TSRings

This is a kids size tee that says "Out of Control" in a cartoony font, with a picture of modern jumping twist Sonic. He's in front of a swirl black background and the shirt is just about the same color of blue that he is.

The logo is modern, small & not too obtrusive. This can be found at Wal Mart, price unknown. It may also be in the SonicGear store, but do watch the sizes! May not fit everyone.
