USB Sonic Flash Drive 4 GB Size A first of it's kind! This is the Sonic USB Flash Drive. It's 4 GB, which is an all right size for the era. It makes a sort of interesting use of the classic Sonic face...in that you pull off the spikes half of the face to access the drive. It has a keychain lead at the top, though it would be a rather thick/big-ish
keychain. As you can see, it comes carded. This is 24.99 at Spencers gifts in 2012 (likey, fall) It should also be on their website for the season/until it sells out. Discovered by SonicBoy19
Simple Sonic Face Earbuds Here's a simple pair of classic style Sonic earbuds. They're all blue, including bud & cord. The Sonic face uses the cut-in rubber that takes detail well, so the stock art here is spot on. This is 14.99 at Spencers gifts in 2012 (likey, fall) It's a fairly ok price for a really simple pair of earbuds. Are the quality of these better than the Toys R Us ones? It should also be on their website for the season/until it sells out. Discovered by SonicBoy19
80 Game Plug In Genesis This is another "plug into your TV" gimmick / not really a console item. It's similar to those odd Sonic themed, pre-loaded "plug n' play" items found elsewhere on USA Electronics. This one though, is shaped sort of like the original Genesis (instead of an abstract Sonic head or something) & has somehwat similar shaped controlers. It has 80 classic games you can play right out of the box. But look how much Sonic content it pushes on the box. It's got classic Sonic,
and title screens for his top games all down the side. This ISNT a "Sonic product" obviously the majority of the 80 games aren't Sonic related, but the maker knows that Sonic is so popular, they chose him to headline their entire thing. It has every Genesis Sonic game EXCEPT Sonic 3 (why just not that one? It was great) You can't lock S&K onto anything with it. The sound quality is reportedly poor / sounds 'off' from the originals. Wireless controllers that it comes with only work with line-of -sight to the system, so that's not all convenient. It WILL take old corded original controllers. It should be about $31.00, and is ONLY ok if you don't really need or care about quality. You can put Genesis games into it too, but the sound will always be a bit off, & some may not work at all. Gamer Graffix Shadow Gamecube Skin This item isn't an electronic item...but it's FOR your electronics: namely the Gamecube. This is an all-sides skin for the Gamecube, with an all-Shadow theme. You've got Shadow himself, the Shadow symbol & plenty of black & red. This was sold in the USA at some point, but somehow SonicTeam got a hold of the package. Notice the website GamerGraffix.com (with 2 F's!) it has been
apparently bought out / taken over by Fathead wall graphics...which sadly does not make anything Sonic in 2012. Likely, they absorbed and then got rid of the system skins that these original guys were making. Photos by SonicTeam
Sears T-Combo Sonic Earbuds These are simple little earbuds which you can get for free with certain Sonic tees at Sears. The package is attached to the hanger the shirt is on, as a bonus. The shirts are all late 2012 / 2013 fare, no new shirt was made just for these. The package is modern, but if you look closely, the Sonic face on the bud-surface is classic. The sound quality isn't very good. They have echo, are not ergo, & the cord is sensative to movement. But...they're free! Photo & owned by BLAILS
Starbucks Sonic 4 Episode 2 App Card Much like the Xbox card on the previous page, this card has a code that lets you get a game. In this case, it's Sonic 4 Episode 2. Starbucks Coffee featured it as a "Pick of the week", & had these special cards done with a portrait of Sonic & Tails. The bottom says "Free app with code on the back". It's great to see a popular place like Starbucks promoting Sonic also! Plus, once the code is used, you can collect the card. Photo by FuriousKnuckles3
Iphone 4 Sonic & Shadow Covers Here are 3 different covers for the Iphone 4. The first has Shadow jumping with the yellow dot background (as seen on a laptop bag at School Supplies) the next finger waving classic Sonic w/checkered ground, & the last pointing modern Sonic in a square with the SA style logo. Each one has the Sega copyright & appropriate logo. Each one seems fairly stylish & there's nothing to show suspicion. These are available at PowerAnime.com in 2013. Discovered by Shadowfoxx757
Classic Style Digital Camera Here's a modern camera with a classic design. It has neo-classic jumping Sonic, with sparkles, checkers & rings. The camera is sort of a rounded edges rectangle, with silver 'shell' over that. It can take photos or a single video. It looks a bit more functional than the previous camera. Specs unknown. This may be found at EntertainmentEarth.com in 2013. Discovered by Shadowfoxx757
Blaze & Sonic DS Skin Gamer Graffix Here is an official DS Skin that's still in the original packaging. It features Blaze the Cat & Sonic , & was made by Gamer Graffix (which may no longer be in business) Their slogan is "Anything else is just a sticker". The photo at the bottom of the box shows how the skin will look when applied. It has a Sonic portrait on one side & Blaze on the other. There's purple / blue area to apply around the buttons too. Notice how neither character has holes/inappropriate cropping done to the face & the item is in a real box with Sonic Advance logo & copyrights. It's important to note the hallmarks of a real skin, since fake ones run rampant. The back explains how these Gamer Graffix skins are superior. (indeed, a bad stciker/bootleg can mess up console exteriors) Photo & owned by Dustin Lee Autry
Sonic theme DS Sockz by Mad Catz Here is a look at the 4 colors and 3 styles of "DS SOCKZ" by Mad Catz. You can see one of the sockz in its package elsewhere on USA Electronics. The photo is stamped "Preproduction samples", however these did end up getting made and do look just like this. The attention to detail for Sonic is good, 3 different poses are used & the bright colors look nice. This would fit a DS or a DSI. It's all thick, soft knit cloth with rubbery/plastic for the Sonic design. Photo discovered by SonicBoy19
Tails & Shadow 3DS Stylus Pair MIP Here's another pair of styluses for your 3DS. This time, there's Tails & Shadow figures on the top. Tails' stylus is orange w/orange base, while Shadow's is black/w red base. These are by the same company, but who is producing them? You can buy just this pair at TheHut.com , but it's a UK site & they're rather costly there. Discovered by: The WardenOfSuperJail
Sonic Knuckles 3DS Stylus Pack Here's something new for your Nintendo 3DS. It's a Stylus 2 Pack with a red & blue stylus. They each have a fully 3D mini figure of either Sonic or Knuckles on the top. Look at the new poses for both of them, Sonic has a hand on hip & raised hand, while Knuckles has a raised/challenge type fist. It's great to see new models for the figures on top of these. Where can you buy this stylus pack?
Classic Amy Rose I phone case Here are 2 cases for the iphone. At left you've got an interesting one, as it uses classic style Amy, with neo-classic art for her. She's on a pink checker background, with old-school looking font for her name in one corner. The classic logo sits at the bottom. Classic Amy doesn't turn up on merchandise much, especially not alone. Amy collectors might want to keep an eye on this. The right is a neutral Chao themed case. If the design looks familiar (dancin' chao, cheering chao, thinking chao) it shares the design & background with a notebook over on school supplies. This is a cute case for your phone. Each case is 13.49, which is middling for a plain (nothing like bumpers/waterproofing/etc) case like this in 2013. You can find both at www.poweranime.com . Chao theme Iphone Case
Sonic's Gold Ring With Sounds Prop Now, YOU can have a gold ring, just like in the Sonic games! This is a large, plastic gold colored ring. It has 2 small buttons on the bottom/interior and it makes "ring" and "lots of ring" noises from the games. It is powered b y 3 stacked button cell batteries (see picture) The box is an open face cardboard & says "Try Me" and "Gold Ring With Game Sounds". The text on the back is the usual paragraph about Sonic (ready for adventure, helps people, fights Eggman etc) that's no tons of other products.
This should be about 9.99 and is available at Toys R Us in 2013 at Toys R Us Ring Page. As you can see here, it's pretty proportional (that's a 3.75 inch JW Sonic at the bottom, for scale) for a life-size Sonic. The ring leaves a few unanswered questions though.
Why are there 2 buttons? They make the same exact sound.
Why isn't there just a "1 ring" sound for this? It doesn't make sense.
This is made by Jazwares. It is probably made to go with the Sonic & Shadow Role Play Masks/it was released at the same time. Ring is in SonicGear collection.
Garfield 2 Pack Sega PC Is this even real? It looks real. It's a Sega PC game 3 pack of Sonic &...Garfield? But why? The world's slowest cat? The other game is "Baku Baku" but nobody cared enough about it to show anything other than the title. This is super wierd. Discovered by Shadowfoxx757
Here are 2 Plug & Play controllers by Techno Source in 2005. The first one plays Sonic Blast while the 2nd one is an emulator for Game Gear & plays that version of Spinball & Sonic Chaos. Both emulations are really good/accurate & the whole 'system' is contained within the controller. Photo & owned by: broblade12
