Why not! He might run on top of the water, but if you want to splash in style, do it with Sonic Swimwear, and hopefully other pool or beach type items to be found on this page. Swim stuff only started to appear after 2018, and really sees a rise in 2023. As more diverse clothing & accessories get licensed, swim gear is a natural progression of cool stuff to wear and collect. So far, this page includes swim shirts and bathing suit shorts. *And pool stuff! So, it will also have pool floats/things specifically for water use.
It isn't a life jacket/doesn't work like one, it's more of a training item. This zip front flotation thing only works on kids 33 pounds or under (so, quite little) The main fabric for it is fairly busy with speed lines/shapes/rings, "I'm outta here" slogans and Sonics scattered all over. It has a face on one shoulder strap. Notice that the thick cardboard hanger here is also Sonic themed. The large tag has the instructions for use, but it does not say what company makes this.

It is a Hot Topic item (possibly exlcusive) and appears in spring 2025. It's called split because it has 1 design for 1 leg, and another for the other. Half is plain black with a nice, large Shadow full color art. The other is red/black checkered, and has his name in yellow at the bottom. The back side of both legs appears to be all black. These are about 33 dollars because it is adults sizes only. The color theme here is good, the art is big, and it's nicely enough designed. A good bathing wear.
Get Trend normally makes clothing/kids shorts/tees, but they step into swimwear with this stylish enough pair. There is a swim trunks with speed chevrons on the legs. One leg is yellow with Sonic's name, the other red with Shadow. The sun guard short sleeve shirt has quite-large full color art for arms crossed pointing Sonic and arms crossed pointing up Shadow. There's a scattering of small rings and 'sparkle' marks in the background. Notice how the sleeves may be 3/4 length or so. The whole thing is black/absorbs sun and provides better sun block than creams. This should be about 18 dollars on Amazon and is a kids/teens item.
Is something a bit off about the art? Is it that there's no shine-dot for the eyes? Is the arm growing out of the body way too close to the face/no real shoulder area? Is it that part of his eyes are hidden by the glasses so it looks a little strange? It could be. This is about 19.99, but will go on sale.
